Or did you celebrate at all? Did any of you wear a costume or get up to any spooky antics? Share photos if you have them! My Halloween was spent carving pumpkins and attending an art exhibition whilst lazily dressed as a skeleton. There was a lot of free wine. Being a drunken undercover artist is a lot of fun. I'm still waiting on photos from the actual exhibit. Our pumpkin! I'm really chuffed with how it turned out, even though my husband was convinced I was going to chop my fingers off: Very lazy costume.

OOGIE BOOGIE MAN! The best! And you look good, girl. Damn, you did cut off all your hair! We have similar hair cuts now! And I made a cute little pumpkin whose name is Uno. Attachments:

I went trick-or-treating. Got yelled at by a ten year old because I hit a couple of houses twice. He was jealous. Then I hit my friend's house literally 4 times in a row. Your hair is gorgeous, Laura.

@kaseofhearts Uno is adorable! Yup, got all my hair chopped off. 15 inches of it! I'm probably going to take the plunge and go full pixie at my next appointment. Squirt lolwut. Weird 10 year old. What a strange thing to get jealous about. Also, thanks! I just wish the blue colour wasn't only for one day.

I'm totally jealous of your skeleton costume. It's gorgeous! As simple as it is, I adore dressing up as a skeleton. Skull makeup is so much fun to do! Oh and lovely pumpkins everyone! I keep having all these grand ideas for Halloween, but none of them seem to come to fruition (mainly due to a lack in funds or weird work schedules) so this year I ended up spending Halloween at home playing Guild Wars 2 and Animal Crossing simultaneously with my boyfriend. We ended up having a lot of candy leftover because we always buy too much and we never seem to get more than 10 trick or treaters. I made up for my lack of Halloween fun though on Friday, as the shadowcast I'm a part of put on their own Halloween show and we all got to dress up in dead-versions of our characters. It was a lot of fun!

It was a lot of fun! Sorry to veer violently off topic here, but I will never pass up an opportunity to fangirl about Guild Wars. That being said, I haven't picked it up in a while due to being preoccupied with other matters. However, IT IS A WONDERFUL GAME. <3 Which server are you on and what class is your main toon? I started off as a Sylvari Mesmer and after maxing her out I started a Norn warrior (she was my favourite, I named her Morgan Skullbasher). Are you part of a guild? Ahem...sorry about all the questions. Anyway, back on topic! I know what you mean about grand Halloween plans never working out. I really wanted to do some day of the dead style makeup but lack of time due to my habit of procrastinating ensured it could never be. Sounds like you had a great Halloween regardless! What is a shadowcast? I'm intrigued!

That's alright! Fangirl away! That game is amazing! I'm currently a Human Necromancer on Maguuma! I've tried out all the other classes, actually starting off with a Norn Ranger, but none of them felt right. I usually play squishies, so it didn't feel right being able to wear armor. I absolutely love the Norns though. They are just so much fun. I have an alt that's a Norn Elementalist but I haven't really played her in a while. I just find it incredibly hard to focus on anything other than my Necro for some reason. She's the first character I've managed to reach the level cap with in any MMORPG I've played. I usually get bored around level 25-23, so I feel very attached to her. Currently, I'm only in a little 6 man guild that my friends set up. We're all extremely casual players and don't have a lot of time to dedicate to being in an actual guild, so it works out perfectly for us. :3 Oh and Animal Crossing is so freaking amazing! I picked mine up about a month after it had released and I seriously play it everyday! Squirt! When you get your game and get the Dream Suite set up, we should swap dream codes! As for a shadowcast, have you all heard/seen/attended a midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show? That's a shadowcast. It's a bunch of people dressed as the people from the movie acting out the movie alongside it as it plays with audience callbacks. Some are pretty straightforward, but for the most part, they take liberties with the film and add in visual gags and other things to enhance the experience of watching a film you've probably seen a million times. I'm currently working with one for Repo! The Genetic Opera! We perform the first of every month, which is crazy hectic but very fun. I'd suggest watching the movie and if that's something you don't absolutely hate, find a local shadowcast and give it go! Please keep in mind though that the film is a musical (rock opera to be exact), has a lot of violence/gore and some nudity and therefore most (if not all) shadowcast shows are going to be 18+ shows and fairly raunchy. Happy early Birthday Squirt!

Guild Wars 2 is probably the first and only MMORPG where I have actually reached the level cap. It's such an amazing game, and so easy to get pulled in. I have yet to try out the Necro class but once I get some extra free time I'm going to give it a shot. Norns rule. I just love being able to play what is essentially a giantess.
Okay, that sounds amazing. Rocky Horror is absolutely one of my favourite films ever but I've never seen a midnight showing. I live in Cornwall in the UK, and although it is rugged and beautiful down here nothing interesting ever really happens. We just have a lot of cider festivals. A lot. So many. I love cider. Err, but my husband is from California and I'm hoping that the next time we can afford to visit I'll be able to FINALLY see a midnight showing. It's on my bucket list. It must be a lot of fun! So how did you get into being a Shadowcast member?

I am pleased that this has turned into a nerd uh, something? Also thanks, Pervasivescariness! (Can we call you PS? I suppose calling you Perv is out of the question.)

The highlight of my halloween was watching Curse Of Chucky. It was good to see a Chucky film that wasn't just a big, goofy comedy with gore in it. No trick-or-treaters came nor did anything else happen. I don't know how I'll be able to top it next year!

@jane.Eyre.Force Oh you definitely should try Necro. I came for the minions, but stayed for the corruption. XD They're supposed to have fixed said minions though, which is pretty nice because Minion Necro is a really fun build to play. Anyway, I'm not even going to pretend to know what it's like to live in the UK, although I have grown up mostly in various small mid-west towns, so I understand what you mean by nothing interesting ever going on. I hope you can make it to one of the showings the next time you're in CA though! I've heard that the CA Rocky Shadowcast is very good. As for how I got into it, I sorta just stumbled across it once when I was looking into when they were doing Rocky and decided to go see the show. Afterward, the director mentioned they still had a few openings for secondary characters, so I emailed him stating my interest and he responded with telling me to come to a practice and see what I thought! I ended up working with them doing both Rocky and Repo for about two years and helping with makeup in a third before I moved to where I am now. Figured I'd look to see if they had a shadowcast here and as it turns out, they did! I got in touch with the director and as it turns out, one of their current cast members happens to be an old cast member of the shadowcast I had just left! Now I'm working with these guys and the rest is history in the making I guess? Squirt You guys can all call me Brandi or Bee (or you with the face) if you'd like. Pervasive Scariness is a bit of a mouthful and it might cause problems somewhere along the line if people started calling me Perv, lol. That's the one problem with this username (but it's just so fun to use)! Marbith Curse of Chucky was good then? I've heard mixed reviews, some saying they were trying too hard and others saying they weren't trying hard enough. I've got some hope for it if it's not a dull cheesefest like the last couple of movies have been. Next year you should watch TWO scary movies!

pervasivescariness I thought it was really good. It doesn't spoil you with just having chucky stab everything and spew out one liners every five minutes. It keeps you wondering why he's doing it and what he's going to do next. It has its share of cheesiness and problems though, and it'snot very scary (Personally, not many of them have been that scary). It does try and build suspense and keep you guessing which did leave a scene where the camera spins around pasta for two minutes and one where you know someone's going to die and it keeps having fake-outs even though you've already guessed (and most likely guessed correctly) who will die. It also has some bits for returning chucky fans. Also, if anyone watches it, make sure until you watch until after the credits, its one of the best bits of the entire movie.

That's great to hear. I've been fairly disappointed in most of these slasher remakes. I, personally, loved the cheesiness of the classics as they managed to balance it out with a healthy dose of gore. It's alright that it's not very scary, as I honestly don't find slashers frightening in the least. That two minute shot of pasta though sounds hilarious. Would you say it's a return to form though, despite it's flaws? I may have to watch it.
