We've probably all seen several trailers and sneak peeks by now, but we all know they don't show and tell everything before a new game is released. What features/content/capabilities do you hope the game has?

I've always found the jump from toddler to child very jarring, likewise with the sudden growth from child to teenager. Now I know that making each sim in town have a bunch of new life stages would most likely kill the average computer but I would really love to see one or two of them added into the mix, perhaps something like a 'preeteen' stage.
It's not that I want to see The Sims take an overly realistic turn (I was always a fan of the cartoony feel in TS2) but as I said earlier, that sudden change can feel very strange.
I'd also be interested in seeing them make use of physics. It would be great to see hair and and clothing moving around, although that might just be wishful thinking on my part. Either way I'm super excited for TS4!

Yeah, Laura. I definitely agree. I think they might be able to streamline it so that multiple lifestages that way would be playable on people's computers. I hear rumors that the coding is going to be more efficient so that the game, despite being bigger, will be playable on lesser machines since this was such a huge issue with TS3. I found this mod that might interest you! Consort's Grow Mod. When you type the go-command into the cheatbox, the child sims will, every day, grow a little bit. It's interesting and a tad more realistic, even if it's not exactly what you're asking for, haha. I really hope the game has a height slider for the sims. It's really irritating having sims all be the same height, and if you use a mod to change that, then the interactions all look super off. Like, instead of looking up, the opposite sim just looks like he's staring at a tall sim's boobs the whole time. Well, maybe that is realistic. I'd also like to see traits affect more things than just little gimmicky actions and interaction options. I think it's important to integrate the traits more.

I can't believe I didn't know it existed! Thank you so much for linking it, I'm definitely going to try it out. Do you use it? What did you think of it? A height slider would be amazing, but I imagine it would be quite difficult to code into the game given that certain animations such as kissing require the two sims to be the same height. It would be really great if they found a way around that, because I would love to see some variation in height. YES to traits being used more effectively! That has always been one of my main complaints, I really feel they weren't used to their full potential.

I'd love to see traits interact with each other. Why can't my evil Vegetarian violently chop vegetables?! Why can't my neurotic neat freak autonomously try to clean everything multiple times? More importantly, why can't my flirty, irresistible, hopeless romantic autonomously try to make a move too quick and experience severe rejection?

I think inserting a mini state between child and teen would be great. like a couple of days between. Maybe be skipped altogether if you have really short lives in your game. And settings per game! OMW! This is so annoying!
