CHAPTER 7-SOMEONE SPECIAL...? "I need to get some microphones in here," Annalee thought as she was spending another evening enjoying the perks of owning a coffee shop, but the peace of that moment was interrupted when her phone vibrated."Excuse me," she said to Phezelle, as she got up to check her phone. She was delighted to see it was a text message from her dear friend, and fellow supernatural skeptic, Zheena, though the content caught her a bit off guard.Things are odd here in IP. Glowbug husband heard rumors that I was cheating on him. When he confronted me, I played the role of the wounded wife so well that he ended up apologizing to me.He even decided to kiss and make up. Yeah, he's a glowbug, but he is a great kisser. Oh. I think Abbica might have aged up. She looks bigger anyway, and she has scales. Yep. She's a mermaid. I'm surrounded by supernaturals!Anyway, Alfie took her out for a walk the next day, so I had my dear human friend Christopher over for a visit. I think he aged up too. I'm having so much trouble focusing these days, but I'll get to that later. At any rate, we had a lovely time.Oh, and in other news, I'm pregnant again! But here's where the weird starts. Everytime I would watch Alfie interacting with Abbica,
I'd catch myself thinking about how sweet it was, and then I'd notice the pretty blue of his wings...and it would remind me of something else. Someone else. Then, when I noticed that Abbica had scaly legs, it didn't actually repulse me. Instead, it made me feel happy and flustered at the same time. It also reminded me of that someone. In fact, when I found out I was pregnant, I checked into a luxury suite at a rival resort and invited this someone over to celebrate. It's just not "natural," if you take my meaning. I'm confused. And scared. And oddly happy. Anyway, just wanted to update you that you'll be an aunt again soon. Peace!Annalee sputtered, "Not 'natural?' But that..." "I mean, she couldn't possibly mean..." "WHAT?!!?"

Ohohoho, the plot thickens. But really...the balding mermaid?! Different strokes for different folks, I suppose. ;D

Yeah, the beautiful supernatural skeptic falls for the balding merman. It seemed the obvious plot development. Or not. She just seemed to take to him far too well, so I went with it.

CHAPTER 8--OF LOVE AND SQUICK Abbica Rae was enjoying time playing with the block table her mommy had gotten her.Meantime, her mommy was out acquiring another table. And when Zheena returned from her little outing, she brought a special visitor to spend some time with Abbica. It seemed fitting, given that he was her father and all."What lovely scales you have, darling girl," Akoni said to his daughter."Dey pink!" beamed the tiny child, having no idea this man was her father. After she put Abbica in her crib, Zheena spun into her maternity wear. Baby number two was on the way. She and Akoni said their goodbyes as he couldn't be around when hubby got home, but Zheena knew they'd have to have a talk later. The next day, however, brought a fun-filled day of enjoying celebrity attention at Ghastly Hallows. And she enjoyed that lovely activity that all pregnant women seem to naturally gravitate towards:golf. Finally, it came time to have her chat with Akoni."Another beautiful baby on the way, huh?" he asked."Yes, but let's not chat about the baby," she began, less confidently than she wished to sound, "we need to talk about...us." And with that, they went below deck."This is awkward," she began, "but everything about who you are should repulse me." "Well, that's a promising start," he said with a slight chuckle."No, jut hear me out," she said, "I find supernaturals disgusting, yet here you are as a merman, and I don't despise you. You're balding and old, yet can't stop thinking about you." "So, I'm some hideous creature that should only come out in the dark of night?" he joked."No, you're my whole world," she said as she pulled him into an embrace."Well, that does sound rather nice," he replied, a bit caught off guard."But, it's not that simple," she said."I know," he replied, "I've always known. You have some sort of scheme. Something bigger you're involved in. I'm not sure what it is, but I know you wouldn't have married that fairy or had any kids by your own choice. There's something more at work." "Well, yes, it's..." she began."You don't owe me an explanation," he replied, "just do what it is you have to do and spare me a moment now and then when you get the chance." She wanted to cry. She wanted to laugh in relief. She wanted...him. But at that moment, their sanctity was interrupted by a persistent paparazzo.Zheena and Akoni fled the houseboat...and the paparazzo walked on water? She wanted to spend more time with her precious merman, but something interrupted that idea...Baby number two, the child of Christopher Collins, who turned out to be a witch rather than a regular human, was born."Say hello to your new sister, Brynhildr," Zheena said to Abbica."Heddo Hiddy!" Abbica greeted the nooboo.Of course, the natural response to the miracle of childbirth is to run out and have the next child. And so she meets a handsome young human gentleman at a local resort. The youngster was the aged up teenage son of someone Zheena knew quite well. This was Omar Collins. Son of Christopher Collins. And yes, that is Christopher in the background.Things got squicky.Very, very squicky. And when it was time to leave the resort,Zheena arrived home to discover that little Abbica wasn't so little anymore."So, mommy," Abbica began, "you're a human, dad's a fairy, but I'm a mermaid. The only other merperson I've met is Akoni. Anything you need to tell me?" Zheena decided in that moment that this clever child would be her favorite. After all, she was his child with her beloved Akoni. She promised her daughter they'd have a long chat about that when she was older. The human child she was now carrying would be much easier to explain. Certainly there would be no question of the parentage, right? But, speaking of parentage, Zheena has started using her love nest to keep score.(The dark, nighttime pictures might be replaced) From left to right we have: Akoni Kahale, Christopher Collins, and Omar Collins.

CHAPTER 9--DOU BECOMES TRIO There were lots of interesting things happening for the family.Abbica was enjoying school. "Yes! One day closer to done with school!" Or, at least, she was making the best of it.Alfonso had been elected into public office and had left his business career behind. This meant that Zheena had instant options for another baby daddy from Alfonso's former co-workers to get her closer to completing the career cluster while Alfonso himself would count for the political career. In the meantime,it was confirmed that Zheena was pregnant with baby number three, and the current babybecame a toddler...who doesn't wear a shirt with her jammies."Ugh, daddy! Put some clothes on," groaned a sleepy Abbica, "and put some clothes on Hildy, too!" And while "Daddy" was at work the next day, Brynhildr's actual father came by for a visit.Hildy thought the stranger seemed very nice and snuggled right up to him.Zheena took advantage of the opportunity to do some mother-daughter bonding time with Abbica and added purple highlights to her favorite daughter's hair. The next day, Zheena went out with her beloved Akoni. The merman's in the background while Zheena is getting to know Teodor. He's a fellow she met through the on-line dating service."You're even prettier than your picture," he informed her."Yes, I am," she agreed, "and you're...fluffier...?" The three of them enjoyed a lovely (and slightly awkward) afternoon together. One of the other residents to pass by the restaurant while Zheena had her outing was Ashley Alto. She is Alfonso's daughter from a previous relationship. And she's a mermaid. It suddenly makes more sense why he takes such good care of Abbica. Finally, Zheena's big day arrived. She was overcome with joy for the new baby she'd bring into the world."I'll be so happy to get rid of these ridiculous maternity clothes and wear something stylish again!" And with that joyous thought, the new baby was born."I will call you, Cassidy," she told the baby."Why are you calling her that?" asked Alfonso."Because it's her name," she informed him.And with an imminent age up for Brynhildr, they bought bunk beds."Dibs on the top bunk!" called Abbica, as she ascended to her seat of power. And in another room, Zheena started deciding who will father baby number four...

Yeah, Zheena's not good at making kids that have her coloring. Hildy is more orange while Abby and Cassidy are rocking the green. Ah well, they're all cute, so no worries :=)

Well, in real time, I'm on the J child (their names are done alphabetically, so I'll know when I get to Z and am finished), and I think her turquoise-ish daughter has the best coloring thus far.
