Hello Simmers, you may have noticed, because you are all dashing and extremely intelligent, I am not Kasey. She's a mite bit busy, so I am conducting this CAS Contest. All thanks to Pippin, this contest is his own concept. And I quote, Maybe we could do the "genetics" thing and have a challenge to make the most interesting Sim by taking an original townie from Sunset Valley (as base game) and mix them with a Sim from any other store or expansion world. These two are then to have a total of three offspring and said offspring are to be fleshed out into interesting Sims. The challenge will be judged (or the voters will be encouraged to consider) based on the effectiveness of the genetic merging (do both parents' features show up effectively in the trio of kids), the uniqueness of the trio (are their traits, careers, etc. engaging and original), and the effective presentation (clothing, styling, screenshot staging) of the trio. I like this idea as there have been challenges that involve marrying into townie households or having the offspring of townies move into different towns and marry original townies, but this one stays uniquely at that original level. Therefore, you could see what happens if Pappy Wolf were to have a baby with Blair Wainwright or what would happen if Beau Andrews were to have a child with Maeve Eames. This challenge would be a bit more time consuming than just a CAS challenge, so I'd say maybe a two week span to complete it. Okay, perhaps I can explain a little better. You take a townie from Sunset Valley, and pair them with a townie from any other EAxis town. So, you will raise 3 children from those two townies, and groom them to be as interesting as possible, and absolutely no editing of their faces! Start: Midnight, December 1st, 2013End: Midnight, December 16th, 2013Eastern American TimeRequirements? You want requirements? Their parents, their names, their pictures, and their descriptions. We need pictures from every stage, except for larvae, and pictures of their parents, for the voters who have never seen those sims. Have fun, and have a good time, everyone! Here's the poll, it will end midnight of the 26th (That has given you a week and a half, sound good?) poll.pollcode.com/3593528

Wow, this looks really cool! A couple of questions: 1. Can we just cake the kids rather than "raising" them AND if we do cake them, can we shift-click to adjust the traits in CS as long as we don't also change their appearance? 2. Can I adjust the age of exiting townie Sims for this challenge (as in, can I make a female elder an adult so she can be child-bearing or can I make a ten a young adult so they can be in this?

The Wainwright/Whitfield KidsHere's my entry for this contest. Since this is a genetic-based contest, I thought I'd get stronger lines of genetics going. Therefore, I selected Blair Wainwright and Barry Whitfield as my founders (after aging Barry up, of course). This way, I had Blair's parents (Susan and Boyd) and Barry's parents (Jamar and Diane) to add to the gene pool. I wasn't going for any specific genders with this, but I ended up only having boys. Here they are: The first birth (with the help of the Kids' music radio station) was twins. The firstborn was named Dave. He has the good, genius, eccentric, absent-minded, and friendly traits. He was very influenced by his maternal grandparents and is pursuing a career in science. The second born twin is Steve. While Dave favors the Wainwright side, Steve looks like a lighter-toned and more slender version of his father. Therefore, it only seemed fitting that he follow in the Whitfield line and go into the music career. To that end, he has the virtuoso, artistic, natural born performer, flirty, and light sleeper traits. Their younger brother was born within a few days after their birth (as Sims can do that), and his name is Javier. Javier is a blonde clone of Barry. He has no plans to ever leave mom and dad's house. He has the slob, socially awkward, brooding, kleptomaniac, and mooch traits. Well, those are the kids. Hope you enjoyed them!

Okay guys, put your hands together for, me! My entry will not be open for voting, more of an example. Without any further ado, meet Gobias Koffi, and Katarina Stewart! They had twin sons, meet, Jumala (Evil, Genius, Hydrophobe, who is great at kissing but Grumpy in the mornings!) and Otava (The Charismatic,Loner good guy who is easy to impress and good at dropping things)! [Insert Toddler photo here, I took toddler pictures of them but I can't tell them apart. Oops] At age 6 they had a... darling family photo taken. Otava and his father have matching dopey faces! Their little sister, Paiva (The Absent-Minded Daredevil who loves the Cold, Computers, and Cats) was born when the boys were nine. Shortly after, the boys hit their awkward phases! And their mother got a hold of Paiva. Family Portrait time! Paiva is a gorgeous YA CC Used: Everything in Paiva's YA outfit, Ditto for Katarina, Otava's YA shirt (It was un-pimp chained), Otava's kid hair (It was converted), Jumala's hair and vest/jacket pattern

I think their hair came from Gobias's family, lemme check. Hmmm, it's hard to see a ghost's hair color. Let's assume it came from Gobias's dad, Gaylord.

You should be able to shift-click the ghost into CAS and then make them human to check things out. Also, did you move her to Sunset Valley with him? If you moved him away, the genetic tie to his dad would have been broken.

It's occurring to me how much fun it might be to do an uglacy-themed version of this challenge. Creating the most hideous kids rather than the most beautiful from original townies. Must say, the kids in this contest have all been cute in their own unique ways, but I might have to do an ugly version just for my own morbid curiosity.

I decided to see what the results would be if Christopher Steel and Nadia Cho (from Midnight Hollow) fell in love and bumped uglies. Their firstborn was a boy named Jinx. As a toddler he displayed neurotic tendencies early on in his development, as well as a surprisingly deep understanding of music. Once he was old enough to walk, Jinx was only ever interested in pushing boundaries and being EXTREEEEEEEEME. He looked up to his daredevil parents. It was during his teenage years that Jinx's rebellious streak began to rear its head. Luckily, by the time he reached adulthood that rebellious nature and daredevil streak became useful. Jinx decided he wanted to pursue his dreams of becoming a rockstar. Luckily for him, groupies wouldn't pose a moral problem. His commitment issues prevented him from being tied down to one person. Chris and Nadia's second child was a grumpy girl named Molly who enjoyed being alone as much as possible. She spent a lot of her time silently brooding. Her parents did not understand what problems a child as young as Molly could possibly have to be so grumpy about. Socially, things did not get much better for Molly as she grew older. She experienced such an unfortunate combination of hormones as a teenager that she became permanently over-emotional. It was as an adult that Molly realised that her anti-social nature and passionate love of books could very well work in her favour. She decided to retreat into the confines of the family home and work on her new task of becoming an illustrious author. I absolutely love her facial expression in this screenshot! She is my favourite of the trio. I may be a little biased as she bears a striking resemblance to my best friend. <3 Last but not least, after yet another session of knocking boots, Robyn was born. Even as a toddler it was apparent that she had developed a good sense of humour and a love for the outdoors. Robyn's love for the otudoors led her down the path of the eco-warrior. Her sense of humour did not become any less obnoxious with age, much to serious Molly's exasperation. Once she hit her teenage years, all Robyn wanted to do was party. Her family saw very little of her as she was usually away attending music festivals. Robyn never really matured mentally, and always maintained a rather child-like mindset even in adulthood. She also had itchy feet and could never stay in one place too long. She spent a lot of her free time dreaming of faraway lands and no one was surprised when she declared that she was determined to become a seasoned traveler. In conclusion, the girls are essentially female clones of Christopher when it comes to genetics (aside from Robyn's hair), but Jinx seems to have taken after his mother (although I don't know where that black hair came from). I would be interested to see what would happen if they were to have some more children. I'm still not sure I can really say with certainty who has the dominant genes. CC used: Outfits, accessories, hair etc. Pretty much everything.

Nice looking group! I especially enjoy how Robyn's skirt is pseudo-camouflaged in the leaves and grass. I agree with your assessment, though, as Molly is my favorite of this trio.

I wasn't expecting to get attached to any of them but I'm considering marrying Molly into my legacy somewhere down the line so I can further flesh out her character.
