I'm at that point where several of my stories have either lost their original intrigue for me or I feel out of touch with them or I've overdone the story writing to the point where it's more work than fun to do those files. Do any of you ever feel like just chucking all your games out the window and starting over? And if so, how do you handle it?

I feel like that at least once a fortnight, and not just with the Sims. As much as I absolutely love growing attached to my characters and seeing how things develop over time, there is nothing that gives me more pleasure than a completely clean slate. It's almost addictive. Honestly, I'm surprised I even reached generation 3 of my legacy. I have idle hands.

I always want to start over. Always. Having extra stories sitting around makes me feel like I have to do stuff with them before I can do other things, and then I wind up doing no things. But, I agree with Janey. I love a good clean slate and I have no idea how I get anything done. Ever.

Yeah, so I've decided to move every single generation.

The whole reason I made my new legacy in Blogspot was so I had more of a reason to get dedicated to it, by having it's own blogspot domain and other sources . All my other legacies got cancelled when it got to making it more about the story than the game, I lost all interest. at a lot of times I think "Oh, I could replace it with doing this!", but I'm set on making it far on my legacy now and hopefully I'll manage to get to generation 2...

While I never get to the point of wanting to toss everything out and start over, I get to the point of wanting to toss everything but William out the door. Usually brought on by the fact that I am prone to long hiatuses as other things slowly eat my life away.

Wiry!! You're still around!! I've missed you, good sir. I feel like I've lost the simple joy of playing the game in most of the things I'm writing, so that's more of my graveyard impulse, I believe. Even Breagadoir, if you can believe that.

His storyline just isn't appealing to me at the moment, and if you've read the latest update, the game threw me a surprise twist that contorts things oddly. I have an idea in mind that I may pursue from here, but I'm just really uncertain of it.

I've been up to date on Breagadoir for a while now, started drifting away from the Simming world when the updates dried up, actually.

Sorry. I've been a little more active in my "Who's Your Daddy" challenge and I've been doing every contest here. Those plus work plus family fills the hours pretty well. I'm hoping to get going with stuff on Breagadoir over Christmas break. I'm also probably going to go ahead and graveyard at least two of the stories I currently have going (he says, getting this back to the topic line).

I haven't wanted to throw everything out before now. Right now, I hate everything I've ever written for my Sims stories... Maybe I could just accidentally reinstall my games and start over but I still kind of want to finish...

You write awesome stuff. I forbid you to start over. Granted, I've been there and can totally relate, so I'm a bit of a hypocrite at this point...but still!
