Fortuna's Fortunes--Pippin's EntryHe was Thralvare Grunt, a rugged troll from the mountains. She was Shaddahra Whisper, a delicate fairy from the woodlands. Their love was forbidden, passionate, wonderful... and resulted in a sort of freak-of-nature offspring. Namely...me. I am Fortuna Grunt-Whisper. As my unfortunate, hyphenated last name would indicate, "fortunate" is not quite accurate. My parents have managed to help unite their clans. Rather than warring over territory, they now work together and intermingle and my parents, being such social rollers, have lavish balls. This is how I spend my time during them. I feel out of place among the trolls due to my slight build. I feel out of place among the fairies because of my odd coloring and ears. There is nowhere I belong. The closest I've found of a role in society is that of a ghost hunter. Helping eliminate others who don't belong on land, I suppose. Having that job is what made this encounter initially awkward. I was going to do my ghost hunting duty and eliminate him, but then things got more awkward when this happened. And then, awkward wasn't a strong enough word when his wife showed up. Once word of this indiscretion spread, I knew I couldn't shame my parents by heading home, but there was no place left for me on land...that's why I took to the sea. And in the safety of my Fantastical Floating Machine, complete with foliage to remind me of mom and a rumbling engine to remind me of dad's voice, I'll deliver and take care of the "gift" that my ghostly friend gave me... (CC was in this in several of Fortuna's outfits and her father's horns)

Fortuna is very pretty, despite the unfortunate circumstances.

Thanks! I was trying to create her as lovely, but then portray her as not seeing that in herself. And awkward. Definitely wanted her to come across as awkward ;=)

Timothy Wren He's Brave, Excitable, and friendly. Timothy needs the house to survive and to keep himself distant from others. It is also a relic from Timothy's time and reminds him of where he came from.CC was used to create this sim. Timothy's twin brother has just passed away from old age. "Twin brother"? "Old age"? Yep, you're reading that right. For some unknown reason Timothy never aged past his tenth birthday. Long ago, when it first became apparent that Timothy had a unique condition his parents purchased a house boat and set off to live on the ocean far away from prying eyes. But Timothy had far outlived his parents and with his brother now gone he would have to make it in the world alone. He headed for land and decided to live on his boat near a small village and it wasn't long before he made a friend. Her name was Maria. They did everything together and had become very close, Timothy even let her know about his condition. But time passed as it does and Maria grew as children do. One day Maria came to see Timothy but she wasn't her usual happy self. She warned him that the people in the village had grown uncertain about him and that they suspected witchcraft was involved in his odd situation. She also mentioned that they were not a forgiving or reasonable bunch and that Timothy should leave for his own safety. They were both heart broken but it was for the best. Throughout the years Timothy would make many friends but would always leave them before he became too attached. He didn't want to suffer through anymore heartache. Eventually it felt like Timothy was always searching for a friend. So how does Timothy's story eventually end? Does he end up alone and totally left behind by the rest of world? Or does futuristic medicine cure him and finally allow him to grow old? Only time will tell!

@nan, thanks! Glad you enjoyed Fortuna. Must say, Timothy looks pretty cool. Loving the age-defiant condition take.

Nan, that was a fantastic story. Timothy is adorable, and that is a hard thing to do with sim children. They all usually look the exact same. But Timothy had a really unique face.

TheDoctor's Entry--Demon Duggins My name is Oliarty Duggins. I'm a man of science. Well, science and magic. I'm not entirely sure there's a spot where one truly ends and the other begins. My research has been scoffed at by some, so I sought isolation from their taunting by moving my lab to my houseboat. Removed from these scrutinizing eyes, I was making wonderful breakthroughs. I worked late one night. So late, in fact, that it was the next day. I had learned of the delicate interaction of chemistry and alchemy. I suppose I was a bit careless in some of my work, and had gotten some of the chemicals on my hands, with which I had wiped the sweat from my face, but I didn't have time for tidiness as I was in such a hurry to make note of my findings. That's when I started feeling odd. Like my skin was crawling. Literally. My body felt like it was pulling itself...not apart...but in different directions. Then it stopped. But things for me had only just begun. My findings are infallible, but I can't return. The truth itself has isolated me from society. I will stay here, in my floating lab, desperately seeking a cure. Alone. I used CC for the wings and tail.

Nice. I really enjoyed the facial expression on that last shot. He just looks like he's thinking, "uh oh!"
